Why Buyers Choose Doug Ranger
Welcome > For Buyers > Why Buyers Choose Doug Ranger ...

A lot of decision-making goes into selecting and buying a home. Having your own Realtor® representing you as the Buyer will give you confidence that what you're doing is right for you and your family.

Purchasing a home is the biggest investment most families ever make.  It involves big decisions that go beyond simply choosing one you like.

Having a trusted Realtor to represent and inform you through the process - from
viewing homes, to arranging financing, to writing a contract that has only your best interests in mind - will help make it a positive, educational experience.

Our local knowledge of the San Fernando Valley and the Conejo Valley will be invaluable to you, not just in terms of real estate, but also in terms of schools, neighborhoods, the local economy, and more.

Every real estate market has trends and opportunities that vary from one area to the next.   Our job is to educate and inform you, so  you can make wise decisions and end up with a sound investment.

Some questions you need to answer are:

What's the true market value of the home you're interested in?

Is it priced too high?

Is it a bargain you should jump on?

We help you evaluate the situation and make decisions that get you the best value for your money.

Negotiating terms of the sale can be stressful for everyone.  Real estate purchase agreements are full of complicated terms and clauses that can greatly affect your future life in your new home. You'll have the full benefit of our knowledge and expertise.  The contract we negotiate will give you, the Buyer, the best terms and conditions.

We'll make sure you'll have full disclosure on the property you're buying, and see to it that all of your inspections are carried out on time.  You'll be confident in the contract you sign.

Our free property listings are from two large multiple listing services.  They're as current and up-to-date.   You have your own customized web portal where you can store information, save and delete properties, print listings and keep track of market trends.  No more surfing the internet for real estate sites that have stale and obsolete listings.

Fill out our form if you want the listings.

You can also sign up for our
Homecaster(tm) FLASH!   That way you'll get our own listings the minute we upload them to this web site.  They'll come in an email that you can forward to friends who are also looking for property.

So many homes on the market today are distressed properties and short sales.  We can help you sell or purchase one of these.  When you buy a short sale property, it's a win-win situation, because you'll have helped the seller avoid foreclosure.

Email us or call 800.498.6707 if you want to visit properties and we'll arrange for you to see them.

Thanks a lot, we really appreciate it!

We welcome all your questions about buying a home in the San Fernando Valley, the Conejo Valley, Camarillo, and other local areas. It's our job to provide you with the information you want. We respond quickly and there's no obligation on your part.

Real Estate Tips
Making An Offer >Creative Offers

Putting together an offer on a home is easy if the buyer has a lot of money, a terrific job and impeccable credit. Many buyers are not in that precise situation, however. And while sellers like to get their asking price, good listing agents prepare them for the possibility of receiving offers that involve some compromises.

Successful real estate agents know how to put together creative offers and do whatever it takes to make a transaction work. If a buyer is low on cash, the agent may structure an offer that shifts closing costs to the seller, minimizing the amount of cash that the buyer needs to close. A variation of a lease purchase arrangement might be effective if a buyer has recently changed jobs or is self-employed. Owner-financing for part of the loan can make a difference in some cases. If your agent brings you a complex offer designed to get a buyer into your home, don't say "no" until you understand the offer.
